Poodles And Rickshaw
The impetus for this painting was our journey around China. The Great Wall was breathtaking with unforgettable views. Later we were taken to a tiny Chinese house in a rickshaw.
As we entered the hallway with a large tree growing through the roof I saw a white poodle curled up in a basket. Suddenly I could visualize my first painting. Each poodle has a different personality, but all seem to acknowledge the greatness of this wonder of the world.
The poodles also serve as a reminder of how the wonders of our world do not exist in isolation but are seen with every day sights and familiar objects.
