The Lunch Plate – Original Acrylic Painting

“The Lunch Plate” is bursting with ideas.

Here are but a few in this unruly mix of garden to kitchen table: The rake signifies fresh vegetables, the radishes and peas symbolize summertime, the pasta is quick and easy to cook, and the cheese board is a “whiff” of style.

I chose gingham for the background and as an afterthought continued the solid colour above, below and around the sides. It was a pleasing experiment and helps to highlight the collection of unusual shapes in this multifaceted composition.

Acrylic on canvas and the painting continues around the sides (no frame required)
