Turkish Wild Flowers

We drove up Mount Ida on the west coast of Turkey, stopping along the way photographing lush and beautiful wildflowers. Earlier we visited the staggering site of Ephesus. What meets the eye is both breathtaking and majestic.

I like the combination of very ordinary wild flowers in a kilim bowl beneath a famous ancient arch reaching for the sky.

Acrylic on canvas.
